Why Should I Book At The Conference Hotel?

The hotel rates that the IPA has negotiated with Alexis Park Resort include many benefits for you and the IPA. Based on the number of rooms in our block of hotel rooms, the hotel will provide complimentary meeting room space, exhibit space, discounted staff rooms, and other negotiated, reduced group spend charges. These savings are passed on to the attendees through the IPA’s inexpensive registration rates. If the IPA is unable to meet its room-block commitment because attendees are making reservations at other hotels, the hotel will charge us an attrition fee on both sleeping rooms and meeting space to make up for their lost revenue. If this were to become a new trend, we would be forced to increase the registration fees and cut conference services.

Is it important for me to let the reservations agent know that I’m associated with the IPA and IPAC2022NV?

Yes, IPA only receives credit only when registrants tell hotel staff that they are attending the IPA or IPAC conference so please use Code: IPA2022 for all online purchases and phone reservations. Please make sure the reservations agent knows you are attending IPAC2022NV – whether you or someone else makes your reservation – or make your reservation through the link above on the IPA website and it will be handled automatically.

What Is The IPA Doing To Reduce Potential Attrition Fees and Still Keep The Conference Affordable?

The IPA will track sleeping room reservations/cancellations at the resort so we can more accurately block a number of rooms for attendees at our future events. Please note: every discount the IPA receives at a hotel/resort is purely based on the number of room nights we block, so once the contract is signed, if we reduce our sleeping room block, we will be paying more for other services at the hotel. Reducing the block means that attendees will either have to pay higher registration fees or that services will have to be cut.

Please, Always Stay At The IPA Conference Hotel!
